Customer (Former Employee) - Vernon, CA - October 12, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedOverall it was a good place to work for. Management doesn't really show appreciation for their employees. Coworkers is what made the job enjoyable to be there.

5 stars
Production Worker (Former Employee) - Pennsauken, NJ - October 24, 2022
What is the best part of working at the company? I worked multiple positions with this company and also different shifts. Sanitation was my favorite position.prduction was my second and packaging wasn't even bad. Can't say there was a time that I didn't want to be there. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Not something that happens often, but at the end of the shift you must wait for someone to relieve you. This happens on the packing shift once in a while and someone will be late coming in What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Typical warehouse work. People generally do a great job working together and being productive. Fast paced environment What is a typical day like for you at the company? Just another day at work

Even if desperate, don’t work here.
Accounting Clerk (Former Employee) - Rock Island, IL - June 17, 2022
Absolutely nothing good to say about this company. They allow for a hostile work environment and they encourage senior managements behavior. I highly suggest, even if desperate to stay away from Hill & Valley any and all sister companies as well as the corporate company; J&J Snack Foods

Trash
Production Worker (Current Employee) - Rock Island, IL - May 10, 2022
It’s stressful to say the least. It doesn’t matter how many times you complain about something. No one cares and absolutely nothing will change. My back, fingers and shoulder will never be right again

long hours foul smelling due to drains messy work environment strict rules cramped building
Picker (Former Employee) - Moosic, PA - February 20, 2022
Having had hundreds of jobs this was by far the worst. 4 small dirty bathrooms for hundreds of employees. A very small cramped often dirty lunchroom. Very inclusive on hiring. Most employees are of foreign origin and speak little or no english. Mask wearing was made a permanent requirement/rule for employment with no end date. You may not remove it for any reason. Although the supervisors tend to go maskless.Mandated OT on short notice. Machines run poorly resulting in filthy work spaces and repeat handling of the same product. Very noisy. Arrive early or you must park in far away lower lot. Often the waste and damages are ankle deep by shift end. You will be required to clean it up regardless of position. The floors get sticky and dirty. Your feet get wet. The building has an odor of dirty drains.

Packer (Former Employee) - Vernon, CA - February 18, 2022
There are day with a lot of work but it's completely manageable. Someone is always there to help if you are backed up. The breaks are fine. No one is ever breathing down your neck. Great company.

The pay is decent
Supervisor (Current Employee) - Pennsauken, NJ - January 13, 2022
Overall an underwhelming place to work. Very much a boys club. Management is tone deaf to the realities of life. Workplace culture is very highschool.

the people i directly work under are the best but the ppl i work next to are the worst
Sanitation Worker (Current Employee) - Bellmawr, NJ - November 8, 2021
The people I work with are vindictive and mean. Gossip is worse than when i was in highschool. Grown folks act like 10 yr old children most of the shift then cry when asked to do overtime.
Pros
paid breaks
Cons
hot enviornment

Good explanation on what to do
They need to make sure workers are wearing gloves, make sure hands are clean. Have someone make sure they dont throw dough in the header if it drops on the floor because I personally saw someone do that.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Disgusting

Good Pay Poor Management
Former Member (Former Employee) - 558 Christman Street Southwest - August 6, 2021
If you are looking for a job to help you do what you need to do this is that job. This is the type of job you come to work, just be friendly, do your job, and go home. The people are good people if you actually get to know them but if not they will make your work place h*ll. The managers pretend to care but they really don't, FAVORITISM is their BIGGEST problem, new employees typically last 1-5 day(s), it's not hard work just people that make it hard. Overall if your looking for $7-1000 a week work here and pray before you come in everyday.
Pros
Pay, Benefits, Learning experience
Cons
Management, Life-Balance

Overall review
Tool Room Specialist (Former Employee) - Weston, OR - July 25, 2021
They worry about safety there. Has a high turnaround. Parking is minimal. Some of the people are really good to work with. It's union but they seem to be one sided.
Pros
Employee sale
Cons
Management wasn't good
