Sales assistant (Former Employee) – Nottingham – May 19, 2014
I worked at JAM Industries from summer 2012 until March 2013. I had my first day with Michael Amair who brought me onto his team and along with Jill and the rest of the office, I learnt a myriad of skills that serve me to this day. From sales skills to helping me form stronger relationships with people and appreciating life, I got the chance to network and meet with dozens of people around the country and saw parts of the UK I hadn't previously explored. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with JAM and had my circumstances been different, would likely have stayed. I would recommend working with JAM and the entrepreneurs it helps breed and plan to open up my own business next year.
It think everyone gets involved for loads of different reasons. If its just to lean skills in customer service or become and expert in training people - its all good.
It is the most exciting environment and its the place to go to find your full potential. They are all really inspiring.
I got handed a lot of responsibilities, which was great to be trusted so soon.
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) – Nottingham – November 10, 2013
This company has helped me be where I am right now. Not fully understood by small mined people but rather than a "Job" i found it to be a great opportunity. It taught me how to work purely on performance like a true entrepreneur as if I was on the apprentice.
I worked my way up due my hard work and ambition, the harder I worked the further I got and the more money I made to support my family and life style.
Some people saw it hard when they saw it as a job rather than an opportunity to start up their own events company for a blue chip client. All I say is what if you opened up a fish and chip shop and you did not perform? If you didnt get out there and sell any fish and chips how much would you pay yourself?
It's not really for people who don't have a lot ambition or want to learn how to run their own business one day, have the chance to expand nationally and internationally. Again it is not a bad thing to not want this, my parents both work normal 9 to 5 jobs and on a comfortable income. However its just not for me, without sounding disrespectful I wanted more. Jam Industries provided me with the skills to do that.
fun, money, progression, knowledge to start running your own company, free consultancy, travel internationally
long hours, not for the lazy and unambitious (spoon fed), takes commitment.
