Enterprise Sales Exec & Allaince Dir in Santa Clara, CA
on January 23, 2019
Before joining Jamcracker, I had 15 years of software sales and service experience - in particular selling customer experience/contact center software & services - but was seeking to gain experience in cloud computing/cloud management software market. The company fulfilled that goal. PROS: I become very proficient cloud management products and in organizing those products to match the CXO/client's vision of a winning solution. I was given wide latitude in driving sales cycles for my enterprise and federal government accounts/prospects. I was invariably working (selling to) CXOs, which put me in a relationship and complex sales cycle mode. Also, I was responsible for recruiting and on-boarding global consulting firms as Jamcracker Alliance Partners, and that was a major contribution I was able to make due to many years of experience in Alliance Management. CONS: Since I was working from the Silcon Valley, selling to the federal government market required a very significant amount of travel. A series of in-person sales calls required me to be in the Greater Washington DC Metro Area often and for a minimum of a week at a time.

Really enjoyed creating solutions that met client's vision for success, in which every clients requirement where unique. Enjoyed competing and winning against major technology companies. Job required enterprise consultative sales with complex sales cycles and the development of working, partner-type relationship with CXOs, Also, I enjoyed my other major responsibilities entailing recruiting and developing strategic partner and related partnering structure, GTM plans, and joint sales cycle execution.

A small and unassuming company. Good vision for growth but lacking in investment. An excellent place for exposure for those wanting to gain expertise and experience in the Cloud Service Brokerage and Cloud Management solutions arena.

Jamcracker was ready to set the world on fire in Cloud Computing. Unfortunately, it was ten years too early.
