Not a great place to be at
Credit Specialist (Former Employee) - Mission Viejo, CA - September 19, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWhat really irked me the most about this company was that they had a vaccine mandate, which was dropped. Not a good company because they forced this.
Pros
Long Term Company
Cons
Vaccine Mandate

Good benefits, competitive pay, good progression
Operator (Current Employee) - Tacoma, WA - September 16, 2023
Good progression offered as Ling as you continue to tell your management what you need from them. Hazardous work with fair compensation, although the safety culture can be difficult to work with due to differing standards among leadership

Good paying reliable job
Production Worker (Current Employee) - Pulaski, VA - September 11, 2023
James hardie is a great paying job, management is ehhh but all in all it’s a good job to have! Plenty of room for growth in the company and they use a nice certification system to help you get raises and grow more through the company, plenty of overtime if you want it as well!

Worst job ever, don't even bother applying
Operator (Former Employee) - Frederickson, WA - August 2, 2023
They don't call it James Easy for a reason. The culture is toxic and corporate management think that yelling at you makes you work harder. I was fortunate to escape this company. I truly have no clue how they stay in business.
Pros
The people I worked with
Cons
Too many to list

Engineer II (Former Employee) - Reno, NV - June 28, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Good pay, they take care of their employees, and the business is guided by business rather than social movements (like some others). What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Hard work, the products are worth a lot, so mistakes are expensive. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Rough around the edges, but at the same time accepting

Fun but dirty
Maintenance Mechanic (Current Employee) - Peru, IL - June 14, 2023
Decent pay great team to work with. It is dirty year round especially on the raw mats / production side and also extremely hot most of the year. If you can get past that the maintenance team is awesome and fun to work with

Great crews, mediocre pay
Operations Generalist (Current Employee) - Pulaski, VA - June 6, 2023
You will work, and the environment is high paced but very friendly. The pay is mediocre given what you have to do and the heat you are in. Opportunity to move up is there.....at certain times.

Very unprofessional company with poor business practices
Specialist (Former Employee) - Reno, NV - June 5, 2023
I worked here for two years and three months. There was no exit interview. The culture is very bad here with little to no leadership. The company will hire anyone on the spot because they're desperate for quick labor but they can't keep people. Its a revolving door but if you need quick cash it's a good place for some temporary work. As an employee I was treated very unfairly so I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.
Pros
Easy job, no boss, no leadership
Cons
Low pay, no work life balance, little to no time off

Thought it was a good job until I started working there.
Machine Operator/Stacker Hand (Former Employee) - Plant City, FL - May 31, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Nothing. They only care about production. And nothing about family and the issues that may arise at home. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Long hours and a lot of standing. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very dirty and wet. Plus unsafe. What is a typical day like for you at the company? A typical day at work is a boring safety meeting.
