Not a great place to be at

What really irked me the most about this company was that they had a vaccine mandate, which was dropped. Not a good company because they forced this.

Good benefits, competitive pay, good progression

Good progression offered as Ling as you continue to tell your management what you need from them. Hazardous work with fair compensation, although the safety culture can be difficult to work with due to differing standards among leadership

Good paying reliable job

James hardie is a great paying job, management is ehhh but all in all it’s a good job to have! Plenty of room for growth in the company and they use a nice certification system to help you get raises and grow more through the company, plenty of overtime if you want it as well!

Really isn’t worth explaining I worked there’d for 3 years and when I left I never got a phone call why or anything lol I’m pretty sure HRS and plant managers don’t even know who I was lol despite being there for so long doing so much for the company’s and going Un heard eventually I left even the pays not worth my happiness and time.

Free lunch ever Friday and good pay/benifts

Long shifts, 12 hours 15 minutes 5-6 days a week, never coming off production and your interest goes in one ear out the other

High stress,horrible working conditions,poor management

Insanely hot in summer freezing cold in winter Dirty filthy environment Management will lie to advance their own careers.Lots of pizza party's not many raises.

Good health insurance

Managers will lie and blame you for their laziness, they will lie to advance themselves, insanely hot and dirty work environment.

Worst job ever, don't even bother applying

They don't call it James Easy for a reason. The culture is toxic and corporate management think that yelling at you makes you work harder. I was fortunate to escape this company. I truly have no clue how they stay in business.

The people I worked with

Too many to list

ABSOLUTELY loved working at James Hardie. People were fun. Made work more then just a occupation. Made it a habby. Yea I guess you can say the pay was good. But it’s doesn’t matter how much you get paid if you love what you do/did

I should have never left this place

What is the best part of working at the company?Good pay, they take care of their employees, and the business is guided by business rather than social movements (like some others). What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Hard work, the products are worth a lot, so mistakes are expensive. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Rough around the edges, but at the same time accepting

great work culture and great pay/benefits

Been working as a electrician for 5 years, The work culture is great? Pay and benefits are competitive. Work load and schedule are in reason and direct management is competent.

Fun but dirty

Decent pay great team to work with. It is dirty year round especially on the raw mats / production side and also extremely hot most of the year. If you can get past that the maintenance team is awesome and fun to work with

Great crews, mediocre pay

You will work, and the environment is high paced but very friendly. The pay is mediocre given what you have to do and the heat you are in. Opportunity to move up is there.....at certain times.

Very unprofessional company with poor business practices

I worked here for two years and three months. There was no exit interview. The culture is very bad here with little to no leadership. The company will hire anyone on the spot because they're desperate for quick labor but they can't keep people. Its a revolving door but if you need quick cash it's a good place for some temporary work. As an employee I was treated very unfairly so I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

Easy job, no boss, no leadership

Low pay, no work life balance, little to no time off

Thought it was a good job until I started working there.

What is the best part of working at the company?Nothing. They only care about production. And nothing about family and the issues that may arise at home. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Long hours and a lot of standing. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Very dirty and wet. Plus unsafe. What is a typical day like for you at the company?A typical day at work is a boring safety meeting.
