JANUS is a good company with good managers to support you. Like most contracting DoD companies, 40 hours work week with average benefits: Health, Vision, Dental and 401k.

Unable to get contracts
Senior Software Engineer (Former Employee) –  Evans, GAJune 5, 2018
Was a good-old boy network that got government contracts and when the network failed, so did all the contracts and then most of the jobs. Management was all ex-military with none capable of doing the work they were charged with "managing".
Pros
Telecommuting
Cons
Poor RFP capabilities to compete fairly for government contracts

Network Engineer (Current Employee) –  Aberdeen, MDDecember 11, 2017
Janus Research Group is a medium-sized company, and as such the management treats people as a big family. Most managers are very down-to-earth and easily approachable. The company also strives to improve morale with all sorts of social activities (luncheons, wine tasting, etc., cruises, etc.).
Pros
Great managers who largely leave you to do your job
Cons
lack of career advancement

Network Systems Support Engineer (Current Employee) –  Aberdeen Proving Ground, MDOctober 4, 2017
Janus Research Group Inc. is an excellent organization to work for. Within the parameters that they can control; contracting for DoD organizations, they provide the necessary tools in order to be successful. However, it is contracting and the longevity of the job/position is always subject to change. The Program Managers are awesome and majority of co-workers have a understanding of mission accomplishment and duty for our country.

Small Company, Huge Benefits
Coordinator Support Specialist (Former Employee) –  Evans, GAApril 22, 2015
Until you actually work at JANUS, do you realize that they are actually a small, "family" oriented company doing HUGE, government projects. The opportunities to benefit from their military projects is something you'd wait a lifetime to experience with larger corporations. From every department there are opportunities to support, learn, and grow. The most enjoyable part is the laid back atmosphere at the corporate office, yet working with people that actually LOVE their field of expertise and enjoy coming to work each day. JANUS is absolutely a forward thinking organization with endless opportunities for young and seasoned engineers ready and able to leave their mark.
Pros
Working with extremely intelligent retired military & civilian personnel, yet not having all the "sir, ma'am" protocol!
Cons
I can't think of ONE!

A cluster of Fools
Senior Intelligence Consultant (Former Employee) –  Reston, VAFebruary 25, 2015
The group is led by silly people who are not located near eachother and gossip.

The work they do is simple. However, they pretend that it is difficult becasuse they alll specialise in different areas.

Management rewards honesty with distrust.
Pros
Conning the market well
Cons
Dishonorable practices
