Fun, productive place if dispatch can be controlled to do their hub properly

Dispatch thinking you could just ignore FMCSA rules to get your load delivered on time. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Good as long as you were able to get your loads & Backhaul delivered in the time dispatch thought you should be there.

I would summarize them as a Company that did not care about their drivers
Truck Driver Class A (Former Employee) - Amarillo, TX - November 1, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? None, they only communicate via text and won’t answer your phone calls and also don’t pay deadhead Miles and short you miles on your trips! And won’t reimburse you for any expenses, anything! Worst company I’ve ever worked for! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Everything! It was the lies that I would catch them in!! And they did not care about you or your home time, you had to always make sure your check was right, because nine times out of 10. They shorted you money. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Too many kids working for them, and they just did not respect drivers What is a typical day like for you at the company? They made too many mistakes when it came to dispatching along with lying to you about potential bonuses, because they never did come through with what they said they would

Horrible dreadful miserable
Grocery driver/ Otr driver (Former Employee) - Amarillo, TX - October 22, 2023
14/18hrs days. dispatched hours earlier than necessary. If there's one thing ive learned Do my research before choosing a job a quick search of reviews goes along way. Management has no idea how the hours of service works and if you try to explain it they'll tell you they don't care they have other drivers that are willing to break the law. Unloading trucks while using sleeper birth then personal convenience between stops loaded Very unorganized no one ever knows what's going on. For our expect to wait 24hrs for a back haul Staying awake for sometimes a day at a time an being able to answer the phone at any point of the day or night Most enjoyable part of the day is driving
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours little pay

Owner Operator Truck Driver (Former Employee) - Amarillo, TX - September 22, 2022
They are only out for the betterment of themselves not anyone around them. They only care about the ones who feed their ego, not the hard workers. Stay away from this company

Good company
Marketing (Current Employee) - Amarillo, TX - January 31, 2020
I work remote for Jax. They have smart management that understands the drivers are the ones that power the success of the company. They actually encourage owner operators to grow their fleets with Jax.This is somewhat unusual for the trucking industry.

I was able to not only advance in this company but was taught many aspects of the business and industry as a whole.
ELD Technology Integrations Supervisor (Former Employee) - Amarillo, TX - September 7, 2018
As I gained knowledge in the transportation industry, I was able to make many positive changes for Jax Transport. This proved to help advance their Safety department as a whole entity and as a team we ensured the ongoing growth and development of the company and contracted drivers. I am proud of the work I accomplished for their department and even more so of the unity and structure that developed from our united success. Working with these professionals I know that I will have taken with me not only skills for the future but rather a guide for being a part of a bigger dream.
Pros
fast paced growing environment; ability to problem solve
