JBG SMITH is a good company, however, it lacks diversity. Most Black employees are at the lower concierge level. They are non-existence at management levels.

I have worked here for over two years and sometimes you get a good team. However that rare and the management style has taken a turn for the worse. You can have colleagues and managers who aren't team players which can affect your performance. When your performance is in question, no one works to resolve it but to keep finding fault in you.
Pros
Great Benefits
Cons
Limited Upward Mobility, Lack of Training, No Structure.

JBG is a great place to work. The people are caring and the company believes in putting its employees first. Higher ranking positions do not have much support.

Don't work here if you value yourself or your time...
Former Employee (Former Employee) –  DC AreaDecember 23, 2013
Not a good company to work for if you are looking for career growth or stability. Corporate/upper management is definitely not concerned about their employees' safety, career path or well being.

One would expect to feel some level of safety while they are working but this company won't even spend money on having security guards to at least monitor properties where there is a lot of criminal activity, such as break-in's to cars in the parking lots and apartments. Plus, they expect you to work alone in leasing offices ON THE WEEKENDS that are open to the public and expect great results. Not only is this bad for business because only one person is in the office, but it overextends employees, which leads to a loss of retaining good employees.

The best part is, once you start to get used to how ridiculously hectic and disorganized working at this company is, they send you to another property that is even busier and you have to do all the work because they don't want to train the incompetent employees that are already in the office.

Would not recommend this company TO ANYONE!!! Look elsewhere!!!
