I would change the hours to create better flexibility.
Ensure management is communicating policies with one another to avoid issues. Pay employees a liveable wage. Stop basing all praise/success/focus on credit card applications.
Give people's more hours and a higher hourly wage
Be honest with the people you hire, pay a competitive wage, and not manage by crisis.
