Great clients and colleagues. Terrible work life balance. Poor management.
Adult Outpatient Therapist, CAC II (Current Employee) – Lakewood, CO – March 17, 2019
Loved doing therapy with the clients! I was completely exhausted and drained from the never ending paperwork, especially as a CAC clinician. It was typical for me and many of my colleagues to bring home and complete paperwork for five or more hours every weekend. At every team meeting or CAC business meeting, more and more paperwork was piled on. My caseload was ridiculously high! My direct supervisor was pretty great; knowledgeable, kind, and supportive. The other clinicians, support staff, nurses practitioners, and doctors were very professional and mostly a joy to work with. Upper management, however, was usually ineffective, out of touch, and fairly clueless about the daily challenges of the overworked and grossly underpaid clinicians. Ultimately, they were way more concerned about billable hours than good patient care.
Clients and coworkers!
Low pay, extremely high workload. and way too much paperwork.
