Jefferson Parish Public School Sysytem is NOT for students. EVERYTHING is political. It is all about how test scores and how high performance can improve the look of the district. (Certain)Schools are not provided what’s necessary for student achievement. Advanced Studies Academies receive the benefits of “the quality education” JP speaks of so often. Schools in decline receive very little...oh, they do receive backlash on what is being done wrong, but NO ONE from the district level cares enough to genuinely help those schools. The system is NOT ABOUT STUDENTS...anyone can check a board meeting a figure that out!

The staff is focused on academic achievement. Sometimes the culture is disconnected. There is some effort for teamwork. Unfortunately, sometimes the most talented people are not given a chance to contribute or lead due to in house politics.
