At the Jersey Mike's in Sterling, VA there is too many people and the managers give limited hours to everyone unless they've either been their a long time or requested long hours frequently.

I loved working there but they tend to hire you and then let you go knowing their labor was high before … that was a waste of my time and I have been hired at 2 different locations.

Management sucks! Lots of favoritism and drama. Save yourself and work at subway! Everyone quits after a couple weeks or a few months. I didn’t know why at first but you realize it once you start working there. The pay isn’t worth the stress from management and customers!

This was my first job & I'd say that I picked the right place. Tasks are relatively easy and the pay is pretty nice as well, due to tips. For my store, schedules were honestly really flexible as well. Our manager is newer, so she struggled a bit, but overall was pleasant to be around. Lunch/Dinner rushes will be fun, if you enjoy a fast environment. The only cons I could say would be that it can be boring & repetitive at times. When the store is slow, there isn't much to do at all except for clean. Things will be cleaned that seem pretty extra, but they'll still have to be done. Also, in they will favor speed over quality, I'd say. Though I prefer the other way around. Overall, I did enjoy my time here and may come back in the future.
