Great product but needs to mature
Crew Member (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXMarch 19, 2019
A start-up culture, good fit for people who want to be a part of a young but growing team. Lots of opportunity for a first career type of job.

Several legacy employees but airline-inexperienced people in high-visibility jobs making decisions which cause enormous negative impacts to overall operation. Favoritism is very clear.

Extremely stressful conditions due to high turnover and management-by-emotion.
Pros
Free healthy snacks, a lot of genuinely nice people
Cons
Little management support, emotionally-charged environment

Has the potential to be a great place
Captain (Current Employee) –  Dallas, TXJanuary 8, 2019
JetSuite has all the presentation and poise to be a great company, but the sad truth is it is badly corrupt on the inside because of a tightly knit good old boys club within upper management. I have seen favoritism shown to certain pilots who are protected and can get away with anything while others are hunted down on trumped up charges with a make-believe trial and wrongfully terminated because someone with power held a grudge and had an ax to grind. My advice is avoid this company unless you fancy not being able to trust anyone and watching your back constantly. Best thing that could happen to this company is a replacement of much of management.
Pros
Decent pay and benefits, good schedule for those with seniority
Cons
Schedule for those without much seniority, very demanding and exhausting duty shifts without much rest between, Management and their spys amongst the workers, who write false reports to advance themselves, while providing illegitimate reasons for termination

I would not recommend this place. Very poor management. Ask about turnover in your interview. That will tell you all you need to know. Very low pay and poor morale
Pros
You are in aviation
Cons
Terrible, pay, favoritism, unprofessional and high turnover even at the top

Very difficult place to work. Executive team seemed to have no interest in putting infrastructure in place and instead encouraged a chaotic and toxic environment.

Could be a great company
Airport Services Concierge (Current Employee) –  Irvine, CAJuly 6, 2018
JSX could be an amazing place to work.....the company falls short on caring for their employees. The people who are working with the customers on a daily basis have been there for 1-2 years with no pay increase and when upper management was asked about raises we were told that issue was "on hold". We are customer service agents but also ramp agents and baggage handlers. Our pay does not reflect this. There is very little room for advancement at this time and I do realize the company is still fairly young but there have been many promises made and few promises kept.

I love the people I work with on a daily basis but the hours are long and we need more staffing to ensure people can actually use the PTO they have earned and create a good home/work balance.

A great place to work. Lots of potential. Will most likely grow into a major company in the future.
Captain (Current Employee) –  Irvine, CAJune 9, 2018
A great place to work. Lots of potential for future growth. Some growing pains in the meantime that will be overcome with time. Recent investment from Jet Blue and Qatar airways will provide the necessary captital to finance growth plans
Pros
Everyone is treated with respect
Cons
Sometimes it’s necessary to work extra hours

Airport Services Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Burbank, CAJanuary 11, 2018
Typical day would be to assist passengers and contribute to daily internal duties. Being an Airport Services Coordinator, I have learned to work efficiently and better with the collaboration of your co workers. Management was great for the most part. Workplace culture was awesome with the people. The hardest part was the lack of communication. The most enjoyable part was riding for free!
Pros
Great benefits
Cons
no healthcare

Promises, promises that are not kept. Crews & pax are wonderful. But management & lack of corporate integrity is severely lacking. .
SNA base promise that has not happened for over a year
No raises, even after a year.
Changed health insurance to one of the worst with no prescription plan.
Pay cut by a large amount of May of this year, no opportunity to pick up trips.
No overtime pay
No vacation
Only PTO
They will sell you on their dream, tell you it is a start up company, however they have been in business for 10 years..

Most entertaining work environment
Flight Operations Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Irvine, CAApril 1, 2014
A typical day for me was a lot. From updating pilot hours (Total time and type in AC) to updating CBP list for passengers, crew and aircraft, to recruiting pilots for West and East coast domiciles.

I learned the value of attention to detail and balancing a heavy work load. Also that chemistry with co-workers is vital and important to a happy work environment.

Management was very meticulous as we weren't only in the aviation industry but the customer service industry. If the passengers weren't happy, then we were not.

Hardest part of the job was balancing the rapid growth that the company took on. Registering new CJ3's, while flying pilots in for the new iPad training class to flying other pilots out to CAE in Dallas for recurrent training.

Most enjoyable part of the job were the co-workers. Great group of people feeding off of each others positive attitudes and picking each other up.

Challenging in a constantly changing environment, overall, not a bad company
OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (Former Employee) –  Irvine, CAOctober 1, 2012
Pros – Young staff, Although they have more employees than most charter companies of their size they are still a small group of employees and all of the pros and cons that are associated with that type of environment. It is a young but promising company. Incredible investor backing. Extremely motivated customer service, operations, and sales support staff. The executive staff has a great deal of experience in aviation. The company is growing and should do very well in the future.
Cons – Relatively young staff, weak benefits at best, weak communication between departments, there is not a standard Human Resources dept. Limited holidays (This is the case for all charter companies), Although they have more employees than most charter companies of their size they are is still a small group of employees and all of the pros and cons that are associated with that type of environment. In the operations department you have 1 or 2 employees on duty during the slower hours and as a result the work load can take its toll on performance and personal well being. It is a young company and suffer from all pf the same problems you would expect from a young company. If you do anything positive for the company you need to be very vocal about it, otherwise it will go unnoticed, this is common place in large companies, but I have never experienced the absolute need to brown nosing with all levels of employees at such a small company.
