The worst place to work ever
Residential Counselor (Part-time) (Former Employee) –  Boston, MASeptember 19, 2017
I worked for this company for almost two years. Within a month I already started to experience issues with management. They management staff are unprofessional, the staff turnover rate is deplorable. This company has violated countless state mandated regulations pertaining to their clients. The 1 star rating is too high of a rating for this company.
Pros
the clients and parents
Cons
managements, the company as a whole

A Pretty Good Non-Profit
program coordinator (Former Employee) –  Waltham, MANovember 5, 2015
JF&CS is a nice company that offers a lot to its clients. There is a very progressive attitude with a lot of central-office-oriented trainings and events. There is a fair amount of autonomy in work. Management is thin because of rapid company growth, so "front line" workers may have difficulty feeling supported by the company. There is a big opportunity to truly impact the lives of individuals.
Pros
great programs, benefits
Cons
management, office politics, funding

Senior Residence Manager (Former Employee) –  Brighton, MADecember 8, 2014
Working for this company as a manager was difficult primarily because of a rift in communication and understanding between staff in programs and upper administration. Meeting deadlines in consideration of the day-to-day grind became my specialty, however not many were able to thrive in this position due to lack of supports.
Pros
job security, fantastic clients
Cons
high rate of staff turn over
