Good to learn about this place but do not plan to stay for long,
Cashier/Cook (Former Employee) – Altadena, CA – May 1, 2018
This is a good place to work if you are looking to learn about hamburgers, fries, wings, onion rings, chili cheese fries and the such. The atmosphere is fast-paced at all. I learned how to prepare the menu items and how to deal with all different kinds of personalities both from the workers and the customers.
AM Manager and Cashier (Current Employee) – Altadena, CA – December 3, 2017
Jim's has been in the community over 45 years. The local and regular customers have kept the business alive. Over the course of 5 years things have changed drastically. Watching first as a customer then ironically as an employee. There's a lot of "work" that needs to be done; yet with no support from the owner my work constantly seems to be done in vain. There are the three "originals" all are over 65 and don't understand persevered value. When they are at work the quality of the food declines along with the service.

Good first job to have. You do learn how to do everything, even things not in your job title. You can get good, solid hours here. Other than that you will get tired fast from working here. Need better management.
