If you were in charge, what would you do to make John Deere a better place to work?
I would be fair and listen to the employees and not be so quick to take a supervisor's word when there is an issue. I would make respect a known word along with safety . I would not tolerate mistreating employees. more pay.
Was once an ok company to work for but continues to decline as far as treatment of union employees.
If you’re ok with favoritism and not being able to advance in the company then it’s the job for you.
Behavioral questions, tell me about a time you were pressured to make a decision but chose not to, and why?
APSS dept was great when I first started there. Lots of nice people worked in that dept. Turn over was over the top due to Deere contingent policy. New contingents were lazy, inconsiderate, and the most back stabbing people I have ever worked with. Lead people were hardly ever at work, very bad example of company staffing.
What is the vacation policy like at John Deere? How many vacation days do you get per year?
2 wks of your vacation time is decided by management to take during annual shutdown. Usually falls somewhere between mid and late September.
The worst program management I have been part of in over 20 years of working with large equipment manufacturers! This happens due to the “yes man” to move up mentality.
