Fleet Sales (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAApril 21, 2018
I worked there for 3 years. I left to start my own business. John Elway's Crown Toyota is an ok place to work for but it was not a good fit for me. Other people may find it a good place to work for, juist not for me.
Pros
Weekly Bonuses
Cons
Have to work most weekends

Sales (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAMarch 13, 2018
Working at Crown Toyota was a challenging experience and the atmosphere was good. All members of staff were mandated to dress well and conduct themselves professionally and attentively all day long. The tools required for optimal performance were provided by the management and a feedback system was in place. The staff was trained to make the customer's needs to be of primary concern and deals were made as explicit as possible. Follow up communication to cement pat-deal relationship between the customer and the company was emphasized. The staff was driven to very optimal output daily. The atmosphere was often convivial.
Pros
training, weekly mnagement and staff discussions
Cons
remuneration could be better

Management is wishywashy, no room for growth
Greeter/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  John Elways Crown ToyotaApril 2, 2017
Had one of the worse experiences, getting hired on as a "customer service rep". It was a greeter position, lowest of the low. Not only did they not respect any of the greeters, but management never stepped in on conflict within the sales department. Greeters were to stand outside in all weather conditions including 115 degree weather and rainy days. Management was unorganized, they promise you better positions but never follow through. Don't waste your time.
Pros
Meeting interesting people and customers
Cons
Management is poor

All dealerships are the same.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAMarch 23, 2017
Honestly the customer are what make up the dealership. Management is very narrow minded and no matter how much you bend over backwards to help a customer you wont get recognized for your success and abilities. Besides that staff employees are welcoming and friendly. The lower your job title the least respect you get from customers.
Pros
Majority of staff is friendly welcoming and accepting of new employees.
Cons
Its hard to show your value to management and your underpaid

Service BDC (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAJune 10, 2015
Overall a good place to work. Friendly environment. Very fast paced.

Fellow employees were all - for the most part - great and easy to talk to.

Hard part of the job fell on a lack of communication throughout the dealership, causing for a lot of unnecessary work.

The best part of the job was getting to know all the coworkers.
Pros
Free lunch on Sat, benefits, regular breaks
Cons
Difficult to move up

Service Greeter/Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAOctober 16, 2014
A typical day would start at 6 am getting clipboards ready, setting out cones, signs and coffee for customers. Making sure my 6 man crew does there daily routines for example sweeping up the lot, making sure there are lock boxes out and ready. Making sure the work area/environment was clean and organized. We open the gates at 6:30 and customers are already lined up ready for service to there vehicle. Sometimes there would be up to 100 cars within the first 2 hours of opening up service. Another employee and I would greet every single car that comes through for service or that just has questions. The most enjoyable part was talking to different people and helping them out with there cars.

Managed a multitude of car selling duties including cold calling and handling existing accounts. Direct car sales activities and provide after sale services as the contract dictates. Greet customers as they arrive and ask for particular choice. Provide information on the car that customers ask for. Research car availability for cars not in the database.

great company until the end
Service Greeter (Former Employee) –  ontario, californiaOctober 22, 2013
This company was great to work for because not only do you get to meet great customers but you got to build a strong relationship with them. The management was also very professional at all times and if a problem would arise then they would resolve it quickly and professionally.
towards the end of my employment there were a lot of changes in management in the service department that were very shady. A outside company named Shiny came in and took over the service porters and greeters. Taking away seniority, vacation, overtime-pay, and hours stating that everyone was starting off fresh. Toyota never warned us of this company and that's the only reason i left.
Pros
Great management, great starting pay

Event Staff (Former Employee) –  Ontario, CAJuly 26, 2013
I enjoyed coming in, many of the staff members there are very welcoming and kind. I learned to become more responsible and more social. The hardest part of working was dealing with costumers. The most enjoyable part was seeing everyone happy.
Pros
free lunch
Cons
nothing
