Fast paced, stressful job with minimum wage pay
Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Former Employee) –  Seattle, WASeptember 6, 2017
Employees often stand for 8 hours per day while generally lifting 30-40 lbs boxes but heavier boxes are common. The normal shift ends at 5 PM but orders will show up until 5 PM that must ship out that day so there is the possibility of overtime. There is also the possibility of over time when either the shipping or receiving departments get overwhelmed, which is quite often. Mandatory overtime is a possibility but rarely occurs.
Pros
Free lunches when customer education classes are in session
Cons
Lunch breaks are half hour, any other breaks are frowned upon.

Great Place to Work
Purchasing Assistant (Former Employee) –  Roselle, ILApril 26, 2016
I found Jon-Don to be a great place to begin my career in the workforce. There was flexible hours, and I worked with my manager to have projects for me when on breaks from school.
