Very racist and uncaring environment (especially facilities manager)
Prefer not to say so I don't get in trouble (Current Employee) –  Boston, MAMay 4, 2019
-Some of the workers seem fake, entitled and privileged.
-No one there really cares about you.
-People are always looking for ways for you to get in trouble.
-They don't acknowledge mental and/or physical disabilities that may affect you on the job.
-They seem to only care about the money.
-They all try to act polite and give fake smiles but you can tell its all a facade.
-All about work, adding rules on top of rules but never recognition or getting rewarded.
-They do not care about your safety.
Pros
Decent pay
Cons
Unwelcoming enviorment

No opportunity to grow
Employee (Current Employee) –  Boston, MA 02215March 13, 2019
There is not a lot of opportunity to grow as a professional and management expect employees to do a huge amount of work for little pay. The work that management wants you to do it's not even part of your responsibilities.

Quick paced medical office
CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT (Former Employee) –  Old Bridge, NJJanuary 28, 2019
The office saw 30-40 patients in an 8 hour window between 3 physicians. The high volume kept us on our toes and forced us to be very efficient in our duties in order to keep the schedule on track and moving in an acceptable rate to accommodate the patients and physicians.
Pros
quick paced work enviroment

The most enjoyable is the doctors I work with and the patients, pay and management need much improvement. I am always looking to room to improve and be educated in all things and more.

Clinical Study Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Boston, MANovember 20, 2018
I enjoyed my time working at Joslin, mostly because of the team I as working with, and the culture, which is all about the patients. I do think wages are below average for the same job elsewhere.

Senior Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Boston, MAJuly 9, 2018
You are constantly micromanaged in everything you do. The IT department is a puppet of the CFO. There is no room for growth unless you are on the research side of the house.

Joslin uses people to get to their goals and then tosses you aside for the next project.
Pros
great location
Cons
Micromanagement, Long hours, No recognition

Best place I have worked
Postdoctoral Fellow / visiting scintist (Former Employee) –  Boston, MAMay 11, 2018
Best place I have worked. Fast pace and stressful some times but very collaborative and friendly environment in general. Best if you want to learn about diabetes, obesity and related disorders side by side with some of the best researches in the world. Very stimulating environment. Salaries could be better but the rest of benefits and environment make it a very nice place to work at.
Pros
World class research environment
Cons
a bit low salaries
