Do not care about customers or employees!!!!
New Home Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Bowling Green, OHDecember 5, 2018
Horrible Customer Reviews. Bottom of the barrel sub-contractors which results in poor quality. You are required to bring in your own "traffic"-company does not invest in advertising. Pricing system is BAD- alot of pricing is wrong and results in gouging the customer. MANY unhappy customers and company does little to rectify customer issues. One customer was told, if you can't see the flaw from 5 feet away, we won't fix it. Been there 2 years, had 3 managers but rarely spent time at our location. Constant management changes, HUGE turnover in employees. Sales is required to be available 24/7. Sales bonuses are based on when the home is complete which is out of sales control. HIGH turnover of Construction Managers which left customers feeling insecure. If you are considering working for this company-DON'T! Have worked for 3 other home builders and this was the most disorganized company I have ever worked for.
Pros
Commission Pay-which takes forever to get.
Cons
Too numerous to mention!

Typical Day
New Home Sales Consultant (Current Employee) –  Bowling Green, OHDecember 2, 2018
A typical day would consist of helping potential clients with home selection, design and customization and maintaining their budget. Follow up with potential clients.

Construction Manager (Current Employee) –  West New York, NJOctober 27, 2018
Working at one of the companies commercial building culture at the site was completely different than that of residential. My boss has to go down in history as the greatest boss. Really cared that his team had a happy life working there. Made you feel like coming to work everyday. Take my review with a grain of salt as I worked at the commercial side of the company which it rarely does. Commercially they have more autonomy and independence.

Company Lacks Competant Leadership
New Home Sales Consultant (Former Employee) –  Orlando, FLOctober 16, 2018
Held a sale position at Khov. Left because management did not treat employees fairly. Placed their favorite salepeople in the good communities. Did not recognize good employees who made sales goals. Lack of professionalism with VP of sales and Sales Manager. She talked about sales people to other sales people. Simply put I would not work there for all the money in the world.
Pros
Compensation - good commission %
Cons
Lacks professionalism, have to wait 30 days to get paid once home closes.

Project Superintendent (Current Employee) –  Milpitas, CAOctober 2, 2018
Got the opportunity to learn to use Build Pro. City of Milpitas was very difficult to work with. As for the people I worked with, they were quite pleasant to be with everyday.

Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Houston txSeptember 24, 2018
I was working at K.Hov homes almost 2 years. My manager was demanding, disrespectful and unprofessional! Look else were to work!
Not very often people will stay here more then a year. It tells you something about the company. Few people who are more then a year in and mostly if they worked for another manager. Run away from this company!!!!

Management is poor, sexist, and cut throat environment. They do not give you proper training, no processes, lack of communication between departments makes doing any job within this company difficult.

Management was not qualified in my opinion to handle day to day concerns/issues with trades and schedules. Low focus on quality and high focus on numbers.

Great place to start a career. Trade partners were responsive, but lack of available growth was the reason I left. I asked numerous times for a promotion and was denied.

Great company, but a huge company, so at times you would have to deal with the red tape.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (Former Employee) –  Four Seasons at Mirage in BarnegatJune 16, 2018
They had a tremendous training program, and always encouraged people with Bachelor's to get their Masters. As long as you got a B, they paid in full.

I also got great pay raises and quarterly bonuses.

Sales (Former Employee) –  Canton, OHJune 4, 2018
If you would like to work for a company that has meetings just to schedule meetings; do reports for the sake of reports, and relentlessly train associates in the art of the "seven steps to a strong start", but not train them the difference between a footer sump and a floor sump. Then this is your company of future employment. All you have to do is inquire about the employee turn-over. It is tremendous and the true testament to the corporations lack of dedication to their employees. I saw the writing on the wall after only one week of working for KHOV and should have left.
Pros
If you're a competitor, it is easy to compete against them. They are their own worst enemy.
Cons
Bureaucracy, red tape, inflexibility to change to local market conditions
