Over work under staff
Unit Secretary (Former Employee) –  Largo, MDJuly 28, 2018
Worked there for over twenty years.the first 8 to 10 year's were o.k. but as Time went by it got worse and The staff and management changed for the worse.some of the nurses were not eager at their job and management had very little concern what was going on in The Dept..I hated working there most of The time because it was not a good environment and it was always a mass of confusion.little communication and poor management skills were The blame.felt badly for The patients because The treatment some got was very poor.i don't advise Kaiser for older patients.poor service, lack of concern and very expensive.if I had my choice to work for them again I would not work as long as i did.if I had to rate Kaiser from 1to 5 I would give then a 2.2 in all areas.not the best place to work or health care..
Pros
Pay o.k
Cons
Poor staff

Kaiser was a great experience! Made lifelong friends. Had the chance to work in many departments, to participate in a unit based team dealing with workplace and safety issues. I took great pride in the way we handled the admitting process, constantly improving the patient experience.

Kaiser has great education benefits, and offers a pension which is hard to find these days. Kaiser appreciates its employees and promotes from within when able.

Kaiser Permanente is the Future of Healthcare, but Disorganized
Headquarter Staff, Regional Headquarters (Former Employee) –  Rockville, MDJuly 27, 2018
The company focuses on the customer - which is excellent; however, they have high turnover in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The company is experiencing high growth, but it is not handling it well.
Pros
Leader in the Healthcare Industry
Cons
High turnover; operation is somewhat disorganized.

One of the best places for a Nurse to work in California
Outpatient Clinic Nurse (Former Employee) –  Martinez, CAJuly 26, 2018
High standards, great work place and benefits. Really large company with lots of locations and opportunities. Too many ethnic managers though who tend to only hire their own kind Filipinos (sorry but it's true.)
Pros
Great wages, benefits, and work environment
Cons
Too many ethnic workers who barely speak english

Customer Care Representative (Former Employee) –  Falls Church, VAJuly 26, 2018
Its a good healthcare job if you work in the medical office. But if you work in the call center then its not a good environment. 2 10 min breaks 30 min lunch is not how you take care of your employees.
Pros
Great people
Cons
poor management and not good pay
