Manager (Former Employee) – Burbank, CA – March 6, 2018
The staff was combative and the leadership was poor. Leadership did not understand the union culture consequently the union challenged everything leadership did. Management team was poor, no life balance, worked all day and then had to work from home at night. Most enjoyable was when then department was eliminated and staff was disbursed or laid off.
Member Service Representative (Former Employee) – Corona, CA – March 5, 2018
It great place to work and provide information to members.Such as medical plans and Medicare information. I learned how to speak and keep members calm while on the phone. Hardest part of the job was when I needed to find out how a claim was being process and the information was not in the system.

I liked working here I enjoyed the people and the work and the management is also supportive. I missed being there but I have to say once you leave its hard to get back in even though it was on a good note its hard to get into Kaiser would be the only negative thing.
Clinical Staff Nurse RN (Current Employee) – Atlanta, GA – March 4, 2018
Kaiser Permanente is a great place to work. Each day brings about new opportunities to effectively work with individuals and families to consistently improve quality healthcare and satisfaction . On average we see 38-50 members in pediatrics and 200-250 adults a day.
The hardest part of my job is working 5 days a week
However, management more often than not choose and consistently practice a culture of workplace stress and hostility. . The most enjoyable part of my job is working with a multicultural patients and families
Excellant pay and benefits
Excessive micromanagement style of control with employees
Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist-in-Charge (Former Employee) – Roseville, CA – March 3, 2018
Outpatient pharmacy environment always puts pharmacists at odds with the technicians. They are in separate unions and blame each other for low productivity. The working environment is much better than retail for the staff level employees.
Kaiser was my internship location for becoming a Pharmacy Tech.
Pharmacy Technician Extern (Former Employee) – Lafayette, CO – March 3, 2018
This location provided a great place to learn about being a Pharmacy Technician. I learned about counting medications, and compounding suspensions. Additional skills I learned was how to communicate with doctors, superiors, peers and patients.
Great learning experience.
While I learned a lot I learned even more when I got a full time job.
