Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Social Worker in Kaiser Permanente
Great opportunity to build clinical skills, great pay and benefits.
EXPERIENCE Psychiatric Social Worker (Current Employee) - San Jose, CA - April 26, 2022
I have enjoyed working at Kaiser and have gained tremendous skills. There is a high turnover rate of clinicians due to demands that are placed on clinicians. There is a shortage of clinicians resulting in patients waiting 10 weeks between individual therapy appointments. Kaiser relies on supplementing individual therapy with group therapy.
Pros
Great pay and benefits
Cons
Little flexibility, long patient wait times for return appointments

Dedicated colleagues
Clinical Social Worker (Former Employee) - Modesto, CA - December 28, 2021
It depends on what role one has. Overall there is a culture of cohesion and mutual support. This company offers amongst the highest compensation and there’s opportunity for growth.
Pros
Competitive compensation
Cons
Overloaded schedules

Excellent benefits that you work yourself in the ground for
Social Worker (Former Employee) - Washington State - January 16, 2021
Rewarding, but that is why you chose healthcare; it is inherent in your career choice, not because of whom you work for. My experience as a social worker at KP - Washington was excellent, sans direct management.
Pros
Health benefits (HMO) and costs to you, Awesome work environment (primary care) and stellar colleagues
Cons
Management knowing less than you, unstable - always changing and not always for the best
