Not much fun being away from my family all the time
New Hampshire - Territory Manager (Former Employee) –  North East USAMay 29, 2018
This job was a total travel based on the road job 100% of the time. No family time ever. Lack of training, just put you out there swinging in the wind all the time. Territory was way to large.
Pros
paid for gas and meals
Cons
always on the road, never made enough cash

Purchasing Intern (Current Employee) –  St. Louis, MOAugust 1, 2017
The people are good to be around, makes for a great learning experience in the meat processing equipment industry. The transition of implementing a new system was difficult but with the management in place, they were able to make it easier the more we got comfortable with the system.

Failing company
Buyer (Former Employee) –  St. Louis, MOAugust 8, 2016
The purchasing department is spiraling out of control do to the lack of leadership. They hired a new purchasing manger and he is awful, he says he will do one thing but will NEVER follow through with it. He pretends to have your back but ALWAYS lays down and lets the techs run all over his department. If the lead buyer wasn't there to bail him out all the time, the purchasing department would be even worse. He needs to go. If you like no communication, very low pay, bad techs, no room for advancement, and a terrible manager then this is the place for you.

Dysfunctional, unprofessional executive team
Employee (Former Employee) –  St Louis MOJune 25, 2015
Business decisions made by management are not for the good of the employees and do not seem to be that healthy for the bottom line either.
The culture is tense, and hostile at times with back room maneuvering between HR, president, and controller.
Pros
Area is ok if you discount the rats in the parking lot
Cons
Management, production taken to Mexico

Customer Service Rep (Former Employee) –  St. Louis, MOJune 2, 2013
A typical day at work was enjoyable with great co-workers
The hardest part of the job was when a co-worker would call in or be on vacation during peak times
The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with the customers over the phone.
Pros
Free soda and semi casual work environment
Cons
Wage freeze and 401K match freeze
