I acquired the position thru a tech sales firm that takes on accounts of tech companies that need sales reps. This 3rd party, Annuity Systems is who actually paid and trained me in channel sales. And while my manager was inept (and fired after I left) my experience there was valuable. I learned to write scripts, emails and find my voice. I became fearless on the phone and ready to call anyone to get the job done. The problem was that Kaybus was like most tech companies they couldn't find a market for their tech and were subsequently acquired. In fact the VP of marketing left for another position in the middle of the 90 days contract with Annuity Systems. Still it was a great experience because I paid my dues and learned a lot.
Kaybus has a great group of people who work well together as a group to accomplish the business needs. The Kaybus team is very receptive to product feedback and contributions towards product requirements.
