For me personally they occurred frequently and they paid me well.
The pay raise is entirely dependent upon your ability to prove you're worth the money. As a team member at a very busy KFC, I started out on my first job making $8.50/h but I got promoted after 3 months to shift supervisor and got a pay raise to $12.50. they are super lenient when you prove you will make them back the money that they pay you. But if you just sit around, you can't complain when you're in a dead end of pay and position
