Line Worker (Former Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIJuly 5, 2018
Terrible place to work. Got rid of 1 manager and put in more that were worse than the first one. No one wants to put in their time, the new managers hired all their friends so nothing gets done.

working for keefe is psychological challenging due to extreme favoritism and poor middle and upper management.middle management so called team leaders , you as a worker deal with them the most they should never have that position they are lazy ,they never have any answers to your questions they just send you to someone else because they don't know anything .upper management is blind to all the useless people because of there favoritism to them .then you have these people walking around with no position thinking they are somebody important .you have to be very strong preson because you are on your own .

Employee (Current Employee) –  St. Louis, MONovember 4, 2017
Unfortunately ownership has changed so the morale is very low across all levels. The company had merged with another provider and has increased the workload with less resources. Overall customer service has declined. There are some very good people that work here and management is going the best they can at this time to support them.

Puller/Packer and Stocker (Former Employee) –  Fontana, CA 92335October 23, 2017
If you are looking for a decent warehouse job don't work here. There is better places to be. There is a lot of favoritism and They expect so much for the amount of pay. Management is also not the best because the only know how to keep people in check with write ups
Pros
Paid time off. 15 min breaks
Cons
Poor management and opportunities to move up.

Order Puller (Former Employee) –  Fontana, CAOctober 10, 2017
Lots of favoritism, the favorites don't have to work as hard and still get their FULL bonus while most have to pull orders and work hard just to try and reach the first bonus tier. Also, if you want a supervisor position make sure to get on the managers good side, it's the only way to move up and do the least amount of work without repercussions. Warehouse manager doesn't hold everyone accountable to the same standards, like supervisors and certain departments/ people. They've been promising a raise for a long time, company has been bought out by an investment company and fired a lot of people to outsource jobs. Those jobs have been moved to Arizona, and filled by inmates, they save on labor by paying them 3$ an hour. This company is not here for employees. Beware of this place.

Grand rapids commissary warehouse is THE WORST job i have ever had.
Picker/Packer sealer (Former Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIJune 15, 2017
I worked in the ware house on Kraft avenue and have never had a worse employment experience. In particular the management, supervisors, line leads, and "head honcho" do not have your best interests in mind. They feed employees tons of lies about raises, potential promotions, and bonuses to keep them working like robots only to let you down. They make promises they can't keep, and DO not know how to talk to employees or run a warehouse. When they finally came up with a bonus structure hardly any one picking on the line can reach the expected quotas while every one else in the warehouse practically gets it handed to them. I often was belittled and offended at work. So thankful to be out of that place and starting a new life with a new company.
Pros
Occasional hour lunches, a few friendly honest hard working individuals
Cons
No AC, No over time, management, disgusting work conditions, no advancement opportunity, max 50 cent raise yearly, hostile work environment

Not the best experience
Commissary Worker (Former Employee) –  Tucson, AZJune 13, 2017
Keefe group had some amazing individuals. Primarily I was disappointed not only in the work performed, but the culture within the work place.

It pays low, correction officer can treat you poorly as a commissary employee. You have to deal with hardened criminals which is expected. There's not much room to advance nor is there a lot of support from management. You also get to witness how inmates are treated as well which at times can be negligible.
Pros
home every night, 4 days a week
Cons
low pay, poor support system, toxic work environment

shipping staff (Former Employee) –  Edison, NJJune 8, 2017
Long hours, mostly labor works which put a toll on your body, not much room for advancement, management don't do anything much to improve the work place, barely any raises even if you work there for a long time, no communication among the employees.
Pros
The people work there are nice
Cons
Management and everything else.

Keefe is a slave shop.To much favoritism to employees. Management hires family and if a problem arises between you and that family member then you are let go. Seen it a few times. Constantly on your feet.
Pros
The exercize is good cause you walk 9 to 12 hours a day.....
Cons
No advancement and pay is low

A decent job to make decent money.
Property Administrator (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 17, 2017
Working here was okay. You see different types of inmates here. Some can get irate. I learned a lot and seen a lot from the correctional officers. The management was, eh. That's all I can say. They pretty much look out for themselves and only care if the money is balanced at the end of a shift. The most hardest part of this job is trying to keep to yourself without getting involved with some type of drama. People here are messy. That and leaving at the end of the day.
Pros
Free lunches and occasional special events.
Cons
Short breaks, compensation.

Terminated
Commisary Worker (Former Employee) –  VirginiaMarch 8, 2017
I was terminated because I had a death in the family. I had to fly across the country take care of her estate and make sure that my widowed grandfather was ok. I couldn't make it home in the time frame they wanted. I only took a total of 10 days off and needed three more cause my son was having surgery. So if you have appointments, children, or need a day off here and there in that 90 days it is impossible. Then you only get 7 PTO days in your first year and can not take unpaid time off. I had no PTO and was not at my 90 days. Company lacks compassion. Management and Co-workers always complain, and there seems to be no silver lining. People typically have bad attitudes. Job is continuously pulling products from the back. Benefits are all right, but do not give you choice of adding dependents. Communication is awful.
Pros
Free lunch, Benefits, ect
Cons
Company, Work Environment, Corporate... Contract company so do not get state benefits.
