As a manufacturing environment, a great place to learn new skills and utilize your own self-driven abilities.
Software Developer (Former Employee) – Indianapolis, IN – February 13, 2018
I performed a software development role. Hours were sometimes excessive, particularly when setting-up a new assembly line or processes. I learned a great deal, not having manufacturing background or experience. There are some very talented, experienced individuals. The plant manager where I worked most of the time was excellent, and genuinely cared about a work/life balance, in addition to quality output. Be wary of co-workers who may not give management a good assessment of your worth, as they can be competitive and intimidated by your experience. Management at the headquarters level unfortunately easy to manipulate for those who were coy and had less-than-admirable personal career goals. Overall, a good experience.
Great learning opportunity; some excellent workforce talent
Your skills may be misrepresented to unwitting-management, leaving you in a defensive position.
