Yearly evaluations occur in February. Raise take effect April. You are usually fighting for 1-3%. Managers have a bucket to give raises from. Not everybody gets a raise or is it distributed equally.

Let me tell you about the P&C company I have worked for for 10 years. Just under 20.00 to start. 3 weeks vacation. Pension, matching 4O1K and Roth. Education , training, fitness center reimbursement. Most of the time upper Management tries to find a reason why you don't deserve a raise however this Company makes sure that both Executives and upper Management receives raises. Very unfair to every employee.

If you are a top performer you will receive a 1-1.5% raise annually if you are lucky

You get a review yearly and sometimes biannually. The goal of the review is to find every single mistake you’ve done and reason with you that you don’t deserve more than a 1-3%raise but they’ll give you a 1-2% raise... usually.
