Productive and friendly
Good place to work. People are friendly. Constant source of work. Landscaping lets you be outside and have a different scenery. Working in the rain isn't fun.

Too much micromanagement
Used to be a great place to work, but not anymore. Upper management couldn’t care less about the employees and their needs. All focus is on department heads. Makes it a very stressful place to work. And don’t bother telling any of them something in confidence; you can’t trust any of them.

Great place to work.
You work for the people of the borough. KPB has great people. The Kenai Peninsula Borough a beautiful place to live and work. The staff are also great.

If you ain’t one of the cronies, what you say doesn’t manner. It’s “my way or the highway” attitude from the top. Don’t bother recommending improvements cause they don’t care. It’s all about growing government at this place.

I was excited to get the offer to work at KPB, however, once I started the job it was very difficult to get support from other departments as everyone works in silos and wants to protect their own interests rather than working for the greater good.
