Group Fitness Instructor in Atascadero, CA
on July 9, 2019
I have taught weight training classes as early as 6 a.m and combined aerobics and strength training classes as late as 7 p.m. I have regained my athletic focus with all of the formats that I am certified to teach in and made a lot of new friends along the way. I have been uplifted and sustained by the management at Kennedy Club Fitness and have learned a lot about our goals as a health club through the work of my colleagues. The challenging part of my job would be maintaining my overall health to be in a position to teach fitness. The most enjoyable part of my job would be working out with groups of people that are committed to their health through exercise and movement.
Childcare Associate in Paso Robles, CA

The workplace culture differed quite often. I had the same few people I worked with on the daily, but more often than not a new employee would come in or someone was shadowing. Everyone was super relaxed and also content to get their work done. The typical day looked like opening up the doors and cleaning up the toys that were being washed from the night before. Setting up some group games or taking out puzzles for some kids who wanted to do things individually was vital because there are a range of kids of all ages. Each child wanted something else to do. The most enjoyable part of this job was building relationships with the children and their parents. Building a bond with a child is a lot of work but it pays off. The hardest part of this job was figuring out the correct way to discipline. Each kid reacts in a different way. Finding a balance between positive reinforcements and consequences was always a struggle. I learned that everyone is different, and that I needed to be patient at all times even with frustrating situations.

I worked at kennedy while I was in high school in trade out for a membership so i did not get paid. I was very well worth it though because I only had to work two days a week.

it was a good place to volunteer for. I also liked the people I worked with plus I got to work early mornings. The manager who ran the kids club was good and easy to talk too
Cleaning and Maintenance in Paso Robles, CA

I typically work four to six hours in a day. My daily duties include cleaning and maintaining gym equipment, assisting members, and keeping supplies and materials stocked. The most enjoyable part is getting to interact with members every day.
