I have worked here now for 8 years and have seen the changes in the culture! Love working here and recommend to everyone. I started as a representative and now I am a Branch Manager. Had worked hard but the opportunity to grow is there.

Pros

Advancement, employee care, Affordable medical insurance

Cons

Very active and physical work.

Great Scheduling

If you don't mind working weekends, the schedule is great since you get four days off. Especially for the pay. Management is all over the place and things can feel entirely too chaotic. Fast paced work environment, you will spend all of your night standing aside from your breaks. The pay and schedule for the work you do is the best part of the job.

No work / home life balance

They expect employees to put in 12 to 16 hour days and if you are salaried, you do not get paid overtime. Cleanliness of building is not important to management. Also, my manager cared about safety and helping us complete our jobs and stressed doing our job correctly. He was let go because of trumped up allegations of a process that was done long before his arrival. Many workers don't care about being part of a team because they only want to go home regardless of how long others have to stay. They get rid of good, hard-working people and keep the ones who complain.

Pros

Fair pay but they will work you to death

Cons

No Work Life balance

Potential to make good money

The company does have potential to pay it's employees well. Sales reps are 100% commission and the fact that the company struggles to maintain competent employees (some drivers break a lot of product during offload at stores, which sales reps have to pay for out of their commission, and are responsible for stocking small format stores and the bulk speak and read English yet they still stock items anywhere they feel like leaving it...visit your local Dollar General's soda section and just look at the Coke, Pepsi and 7UP areas, warehouse has a high rate of mis-pick of products) and management talks about helping, but leaves you to your own volitions most of the time. All other employees are hourly based and merchandisers/relief sales account managers are where you want to be to make $1000+weekly (mileage included in weekly check) merchandising/$4500+ monthly (still paid weekly, mileage is paid higher and once a month)Do not take a sales route unless they change pay to base salary+commission like Coke and Pepsi.

Unstable upper management

Physically demanding job with as much overtime as you want. I have had 3 different supervisors in the last 4 months, so stability in management isn't very good. Pay is pretty decent and your gas is paid for on the clock. You are often blamed for any mess left behind by other merchandisers, so expect to take the blame for that. Union dues/fees are ridiculous. $400 entry fee plus $50 a check after that.

Chaotic and exhausting; high turnover

Management does very little to hold employees who refuse to work accountable. Not many people last for very long as the work is highly physical and grueling. You will be exhausted 90% of the time. If you reach out for assistance, it goes unheard. You will work long hours without breaks or help. They say overtime is a plus at this job but it is practically mandatory. Management excels at ignoring staff or simply not acting when asked. To put simply, management either doesn't want to do their job or have forgotten what it means to be out in the field. Sales staff treats merchandizers like they belong to and work under sales when they are in fact a separate department. Certain members of management will withhold your PTO and you will be questioned rigorously if you have to call in for any reason. This is a job that is always understaffed and you will be carrying the workload of more than one person because of that. Also they will expect you to run your personal vehicle into the ground with no maintenance allowance and below-average mileage pay. But the pay is nice.

Good experience.

Sometimes had to work longer hours but the pay was good. The biggest drawback is the mileage you put on your car, but overall I would recommend working there.

Relaxed

Managers are lazy but job overall is relaxed. Know your handbook or you will be taken advantage of. Pay is ok but compared to the other two soda companies we are the least paid

It’s okay

Start your day at 5AM and possibly finishing up at 10AM and more than likely if you are a class A driver , you will be driving a box truck most of the time because you don’t have a set route

I lost money working for this company.

Never got paid mileage for the last six months of employment, never got an explanation as to why. Shady Human Resources department, did whatever they could to give you the runaround. Stay away if you like your paycheck.

Great people, not a good work/ life balance

Management wise it’s the best place I’ve ever worked at, but 50-60 hours every week is too much for me. The type of work is really hard on the body as well. If you like a 5am start time and not afraid of little hard work it’s a pretty good job. Management really cares about its drivers which is nice. Pretty good benefits. Having weekends off and almost every holiday is paid time off is a plus too.

Pros

Great benefits, great people, great atmosphere

Cons

Long hours and hard labor

Only work here if you have no life outside of working.

Despite what they would have you believe, the site and the union are a bit of a joke. They do not give you any sick time, but you can call and cite “NY sick leave” and they’ll dock it out of your vacation accruals. Then if you have outside things to take care of at home, best be sure you have the means to cover the hours missed, because if you don’t , you’ll be fired in no time. I was there 4 years and there was nothing offered to me once I exhausted all my time coverage resources to take care of my ill spouse and they just let me go. Don’t work here unless you have literally nothing else to do outside of work.

Pros

None, they don’t even offer bonuses or incentives beyond a pizza lunch

Cons

Poor time out coverage, minimal communication when needed.

Productive and great company.

Honestly, great company. Off weekends, holidays. Great family time, benefits and management is pretty good as well. Great pay, great for drivers who don’t mind a bit of physical labor.
