The pay is really bad, hence why there is such a high turnover rate. This is not to blame store management, but more of a problem of corporate being out of touch with its stores and how to keep and motivate employees.

Yes, there are always hours before and after the store closes. Freight is usually very early before the store opens and many restocking and reworking the sales floor tasks happen after the store is closed.
