Fast paced, exciting work environment.
I've been at Kiva for over year now and find out it be a fast paced work environment where we face new challenges daily. I enjoy working with my team and the work here. Cannabis isn't an easy industry, but it's great to be part of an established team, that has resources, knowledge and experience to counter any obstacles that we may face! It makes me very proud that so many consumers know and enjoy Kiva products, and we really do strive to make the best tasting products on the market.
Pros
Health and dental insurance, freebies
Cons
Needs more bathrooms

A fast paced growing company with lots of opportunity
I am working on my fourth year as an employee with Kiva. This is a young, fresh company with a lot of creative employees- and is experiencing a lot of internal growth. I love the people I work with, and am excited to grow in this organization.

Love the job
Wonderful company. The work environment is wonderful and this company is a joy to work for. This company ensures that their employees are taken care of and there are chances for promotions for hard working and innovative employees.

Good place, typical growing pains
Check the dates of the reviews you are reading - if they're not within the past 6 months, they are most likely irrelevant. The company has changed dramatically in size, structure and processes in the past year and even more in the past few months. This is a fast-paced environment and it's exciting to see the things that are being accomplished. Benefits are good and the company goes all out for fun events and giveaways.
Pros
Fully stocked kitchen, snacks, free product, discounts, opportunities for growth, fun people
Cons
No 401k, communication could be better

Poor management with even worse compensation
Kiva seems like a cool place to work maybe the first month you start there. After a while the poor management skills from the higher ups start to show. Nobody can agree on processes, what the next thing to do will be, or who really is in charge of what. The unofficial motto of Kiva is "Make someone else do it." There is no opportunity for employees to review their supervisors which gives superiors extra room to act unprofessionally towards their employees. If you have complaints they will most likely fall upon deaf ears. HR is only around once a week, and retaliation is rampant.
Pros
Free food sometimes
Cons
Everything else

Not What They Seem!
I have worked at cannabis businesses before and harassment and unprofessionalism has been an issue before, but Kiva definitely takes the cake. Management is inconsistent and lax about enforcing anything or keeping their promises. Due to the mismanagement and disorganization everyone is stressed and at odds with each other. Pay and benefits are well below what they need to be. Only reason you would want to work here is to be paid in cash and get free Kiva products with every paycheck.
Pros
Food pantry. Free product.
Cons
Minimum wage. No space for breaks. Intense workload. Toxic work culture. Favoritism.

Phony
Unless you ingratiate yourself with the ones in charge, if you are a hard worker, you will just get more work added to your plate here. This is a very unprofessional place, and it needs to mature and become the example it claims it is trying to set in the industry. It could not be further from that right now.

CEO's head is so far up his butt that lump in his throat is his nose
Low pay. Upper Management is awful. Little opportunity for job advancement or a raise. The owners are a married couple in their early 30's and it is not uncommon for them to be gone on vacation a third of the month.
Cons
Low pay, poor upper management, incompetent owners

Lost
My thing with this company is, why hire people who have ZERO experience with cannabis? Terrible decision making. CEO's don't really have an understanding of how to solve in-work problems. They'll also expect you to do things outside of your position then get upset when you're not capable of doing so. Earning a raise here are like seeing a flying pig (it doesn't happen).
Pros
Free product every pay day
Cons
Misguided / Uneducated office staff members

Needs much improvement
Hopefully this company will find its way and improve in the future. Has great potential if they get experienced management and ensure that the employees they currently have are actually doing their job.
Pros
Free product on payday, free food
Cons
Lousy management, CEO difficult to work with, lousy pay raises (if you get one!)

Lots of potential but...
Great products. Has the potential of being an awesome place to work, but the pay is lacking to say the least. CEO wants TESLA work for Camry money. The company is still fairly young with lots of growing pains to come. If it lasts, it should be a solid place to work in like 5yrs
Pros
freebie fridays on payday
Cons
low pay!!!

Good people but crazy environment and poorly managed.
Great group of people trying to make a difference but sorely mismanaged and micro managed by CEO. No real business sense, over extended people and resources with no ROI.

Best part of Kiva is the people.

Worst part is CEO not trusting the people he hired to do the right thing.

Company trying to hard to be everything to everyone in the marketplace and by doing so lost sight of core values and product line.
