Every store has a scorecard that affects the raises every associate gets at the end of the fiscal year. So, raises aren't based on personal performance but rather store performance (i.e. customer service scores, sales and credit goals). The raises typically range from $0.11-$0.35 with larger raises ($0.75-$1.00+) going to those who get promoted.

In my experience you have to kiss up to all the employees who had a management position or H.R. , but who knows I guess it depends on which location you work for example I you to work in the San Jose one which by the way closed down right away after we got a new , incompetent manager but other than that it’s been my pleasure working for Kohl’s and my particular experience with management I think is an isolated one and I don’t think that every Kohl’s has bad management probably just that one otherwise they would not be in business anymore
