In 1994, Konza Prairie Community Health Center was formed to meet the unmet health care needs of the Junction City/Geary County and the surrounding area. Konza today serves patients living in a five-county radius. We are governed by a Board of Directors made up of local people, a majority of which are Konza clients. Konza Prairie Community Health Center is a not-for-profit charitable organization and one of several hundred Community Health Centers partially funded by the federal government.

A chief objective of the Community Health Center is to make it a place where people want to come for their health care. We seek to remove any barriers, which hinder our clients from obtaining the services they need. Our services are available to all, regardless of race, creed, national origin, language, gender, or financial status. A sliding-fee scale is applied to fees when appropriate.

We saw our first patient on June 1st, 1995, and are continuing to expand services and add providers as best we can to serve our community.

Find all the care you need, under one roof. KPCHC’s integrated support system gives patients the complete network of care you need to be healthy. We have a convenient routine and same-day appointments for working professionals as well as a laboratory onsite so you don’t have to travel for routine lab work. We are staffed with dentists, physicians, mid-levels, and nurses, all of whom work together to offer you the best care possible. We help you develop lasting relationships with our providers to ensure you get the care you need.

Good entry job. No room to grow. Pays new hires MORE than giving raises to staff that’s hardworking.Management sucks. They never check on staff.Majority of the supervisors and admin are unapproachable. Facilities Director is rude and lazy. Expects more from staff with no extra pay. Stingey with raises unless you are favored. A few good apples in the group. Great benefits. Worklife bala...

The job is very fast-paced but the team is very supportive and everyone there wants you to succeed. The supervisor is AMAZING! She is the kindest soul on the planet and an angel to work under. She actually motivates you to learn more and will always support you when you need it.

I was nervous taking a position when they told me there had a been a complete overhaul of management. To my surprise, management is very hands on in the medical department. All the supervisors round more than once to check if we need help. They have even helped when needed. You do not find that in other places. They apparently have changed orientation too, as my orientation schedule was over ...

5 stars for the 5 beneficial things I learned here:1. I'm able to recognize extremely poor upper management. When you have a COO that is also the only grant writer, operational decisions are made based on approved grants without first consulting with department heads or subject matter experts. Upper management does not care if something is unfeasible - there is a grant for it, therefore, it will...

I worked in IT and they fired my entire department except for me, I asked for a raise and they considered that my "letter of resignation". There was no counter-offer to the amount I wanted, it was just a "no" despite me being the only employee left in IT. They do not value their employees and management cant seem to understand why there is so much turnover.
