Good place to learn customer services

KPH Healthcare Services, or more specifically Kinney Drugs, is a great place to learn customer service. With constant interaction with customers during checkout, and through the store, you quickly learn how to assist customers in the best and most efficient way. Staff and management are often very friendly and dedicated to their jobs and the customer's satisfaction.

Abuse their hard workers to make up for their poor ones

I Worked for over 4 years for Kinney Drugs as a Pharmacy Technician in different states. It got worse and worse and I was not full time. They over use their hard workers to the point where they are burnt out and don’t give consequences to the ones that don’t work. The pay is minimal for the amount of work you do and for a pharmaceutical company. When people work at McDonalds and other fast food companies and are making more than what you do that’s sad. Also, there is no training here to better advancement opportunities and no advancement other than to work in another store or location. They hardly give full time positions to save money on paying insurance and vacation time and at the drug facility they want people to work ten hour shifts with no more money or differential pay at all. Along with working weekends and holidays without a differential pay. If they had this facility in a city no one would work there for the lousy pay and demand from a company that doesn’t care about their employees overall. The good thing is you do get discounts and a 100 dollar gift card for xmas but I think most people would rather have a week of vacation time to use and get paid for or benefits. Point blank, work for a fast food establishment you will make more money and gain benefits and more pay.

high turnover, poor management

High turnover, not enough help right now and can't get anyone to apply. Poor management - loud socializing by some employees or alot of socializing by some, which makes it hard to hear on phones. Others have said the same thing on the KPH reviews and HealthDirect Reviews for this Brookfield pharmacy about high turnover, poor management, and noisy. They need to get management in that has employees respect other employees who like it quiet when on the phone and focusing on work. Most places have it that socializing is for break time or when off work.

Varied from day to day. No structure. The manager who hired me quit without notice two weeks after I was hired. There wasn't proper training. I was on the job without real instruction for several weeks.

Some co-workers were great in Syracuse office.

No structure, racist environment, no organization for the job or managment

Not a bad place to work. For the salary it is a demanding job and sometimes can be micromanaged and expectations and be a little too high for the $ amount you are making
