OMG this job is very stressful across the board worked at two stores Because of union representation It is an ongoing struggle as management uses tactics that cause you to be on pins and needles All the time. I would expect it to be more customer service based but that does not matter, if you were recognized by a customer for great service No one in mgmt. acknowledged you, and if you are have tenure they push you towards the door discreetly but you hear about it through store gossip so you literally come in to work with butterflies in your stomach most days if certain people worked
Ecommerce Personal Shopper in Georgia

so much work for so little pay. completely overworked all the time. if your location was anything like mine, expect to be working 35-40 hours, even if you’re part time.
Manager in Cincinnati, OH

People are nice but loyalty is gone as they've laid off lots of people the last year or so. Remote work is embraced now, but many people are still too old school to support it. Lots of change happening to keep up with the industry and makes it hard to get things done, with all the hierarchy.
E-Commerce Associate in Westminster, CO

If you’re in any way disabled, do not work here. They will constantly demand doctors notes, threaten write ups, change your schedule without asking or telling you, set you up for failure, etc. This job is probably the worst & most ableist company I’ve ever worked at.

Interview Questions

For e-commerce phone interview they asked me: whats a time you made someone's day better? how you would deal with an upset customer if no superiors are around? why you decided to work for kroger?

Shared on June 8, 2020

They asked me basic questions for the e commerce clerk position. I’m not the best at simple questions but I did okay, they didn’t give me the job and the next day they put up another listing for the same position. So depending on who you interview with, you have to change your answers because if 1 person doesn’t like your answers they won’t put you through to the next part.
