Cashier/Front End in Louisville, KY

I have worked for a major grocery wholesaler. Former department supervisor salary position . Then I worked for several other larger companies since then 15 years of staying home with my daughter. And now have went back to work at Kroger part time. Just for fun $, helping my daughter buy a car. I like how you come in and you leave and don't have responsibilities like a salary position does. I'm very disappointed in the Kroger Co. I was positive they were a good company to work for. But I'm seeing that's not true.
Clerk in Rainelle, WV
on October 23, 2021
The work you are expected to do is too much for one person. They want to preach team atmosphere in meetings and then all that goes by the wayside when the chips are down. I left and I haven’t thought once about going back. The only thing I miss is the pay.
Courier Driver in Monroe, OH
on October 22, 2021
My supervisors are very cooraperative when it comes to my schedule. Delivering Groceries is pretty easy, accumulating 40 hrs a week is definitely not an issue, weekly pay is a bonus and the full-time benefits are very nice. There will always be pros and cons about working for a company but that would be more of a personal experience.
Overnight Stocker/Sales Associate in Virginia Beach, VA
on October 22, 2021
Most of the middle management is incompetent- so they throw the lower employees under the bus at the least sign of them being in trouble. The pay is on the lower end- but once in awhile they'll buy you pizza or other fast food as a token of their "appreciation"; competitive pay or a decent raise never seems to occur to them. The number of covid cases amongst the employees was constantly obfuscated- someone may have it- somewhere- in some department. Turnover rate was high, not very surprising.

Interview Questions

For e-commerce phone interview they asked me: whats a time you made someone's day better? how you would deal with an upset customer if no superiors are around? why you decided to work for kroger?

Shared on June 8, 2020

They asked me basic questions for the e commerce clerk position. I’m not the best at simple questions but I did okay, they didn’t give me the job and the next day they put up another listing for the same position. So depending on who you interview with, you have to change your answers because if 1 person doesn’t like your answers they won’t put you through to the next part.
