Company leadership is always fair and honest. I feel HR genuinely cares, unlike big companies I've worked for in the past. Pay is good, hours are great, positions are filled from within so there is room to grow if you show initiative & work hard. When the fed covid benefit expired, Kros-Wise extended their program for 3+ additional months (that's a big deal when kids and spouse are quarantined w/zero leave balance, but still got paid). Managers went to bat to get Telework approved for essential workers (really hard to do on this contract). Travel for a funeral was tough, but KW went above and beyond to make sure it happened within all safety guidelines. Training is encouraged with a really generous TA package. Work life balance is awesome, absolutely no overtime. Culture on the base is very Navy. Self-driven workers seem to move up when openings are announced, or make lateral moves across contracts for professional development too. When one contract ends, a new one begins so good job security. Can't think of anything bad to say. I feel lucky to work there.

I had to use covid leave a couple of times due to child care request and because my spouse actually got sick with covid. I was let go 2 days after returning because I wasn’t “meeting workplace expectations” and “I wasn’t fulfilling my role” because I was on covid leave a few weeks shy of Christmas... I had been unemployed for 6 months before finding this job... Kros- Wise did not stand up for me or try to find me a new position. They listened to the client without question and wouldn’t let me go back to get any of my things I left at the office. Other than that I loved the company and I really thought the position would have lasted longer. However that’s just not how it works when the client is more important than the employee.

Great place to work and grow. Lots of hands on learning and the ability to improve upon already learned skills. Fair benefits package and PTO. CEO and management is very approachable and they work closely with you.

Learn what you can and look for better opportunities. I was not too fond of hiring manager lying over negotiation not being an option. Find better people/ company to work for.

It was a good contract, supporting the Navy , Unfortunately it was limited growth opportunity. The company I worked was in California and the contract was in DC, so they had very minimal contact with the contractors working for their company.
