Expected to do way more than we are compensated for, it is hard to have a life outside of work because I get scheduled in for long days. I have worked 7- 6:30 shifts before. Gossip and drama is unnecessary but highly prevalent.

The amount of responsibilities you are required to do for low pay! I was expected to do janitorial work on top of trying to be a teacher. I was pulled around like a rag doll, in and out of different classrooms everyday. I specifically stated that I didn’t want to be a floater or break teacher during the interview process. It felt like a complete waste time. The facility had a babysitter feel too it instead of a learning environment. I’m very interested in a career working with children however working at La Petite will burn you out. Which is why I ultimately decided to leave.

Management being shady, having favorites, nothing to use for curriculum, no break room, no potty breaks or if you get one you get yelled at for asking. Expected to do the job of 3 people.

No type of system for the classrooms. Management unprofessional and petty. They lie to get you to work there. Very little pay for more work than what listed on your job description.

Pay. I did end up leaving due to the amount of money offered for the role. The liability was too large for me as well as the amount of work that was expected for the small amount offered.
