We couldn’t have gotten here without our dedicated employees and their commitment to our customers. And with this growth, we are always looking for new individuals to join our team.
As a family-owned and operated business, we deeply understand that our employees are our greatest asset and their overall wellbeing is our number one priority. We know our continued success and growth is more than just selling and servicing cars, it’s about giving back in our local communities, having work life balance and providing a platform for our team to grow and prosper.
LaFontaine Automotive Group’s culture and focus on employees was recently featured in an Automotive News article and said, “passionate owners, competitive pay plans, clear career paths and cross-department collaboration are core reasons employees stick around.”
“We don’t turn over people. We have people that grow, that make a very good living and get compensated for the job that they’re doing. It’s an investment in them,” said Ryan LaFontaine, Chief Operating Officer. Kelley LaFontaine, Vice President said, “I can’t just say my biggest asset is my employees if I don’t treat them that way by my actions.”
At LaFontaine Automotive Group, some of our best team members have come up through the ranks, whether in sales, service, parts or administration. We always prefer to promote within and Ryan LaFontaine often says, “people ask me all the time why we keep growing, and the answer is easy. I absolutely love watching my employees grow and advance in their careers and in order to do that, we often need to grow our physical footprint to allow for their continued professional development.”
The LaFontaine commitment to customers, staff, and local communities is demonstrated by active participation and contributions to numerous non-profit organizations, educational institutions and charities throughout southeast Michigan.
We encourage our employees to become involved in their community, volunteering and working with organizations striving to make a positive impact. What is the best part of working at the company? The culture is top notch, everyone truly cares about you as a person. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Lots of frequent change in pay and processes What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very family like What is a typical day like for you at the company? Slow but fun.
What is the best part of working at the company? Co-workers What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Boss not amiable What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Leaves lots to be desired What is a typical day like for you at the company? Hours too long
Sexist and unfair. Despite telling you it will be every other Saturday you will work every Saturday. Be prepared to stay late everyday. You will receive very poor training and management will blame you for any mistakes instead of taking the time to properly train you. Managers often made fun of other employees openly.
To put it short and sweet if you like drama and you don't mind being a snitch then it's for you but if you decide to look for another job don't tell nobody because if you do it will get back with upper management and they will fire you for looking for a new job.
It’s not the best not the worst. I don’t hate working there. Pay plan changes whenever so keep that in mind. Back charging happens a lot too. Keep to yourself.
