The worst hospital I have ever worked for. Run away unless you want to be their slave! They do not value their people!

Answered

I have grown in my career as far as experiences and expectations of what is becoming of healthcare. Definitely would not work for a for profit hospital again.

Answered

Not good. Has poor reputation. ER continues to do unnecessary test and treatment. They call respiratory for bronchi dilator treatment for a cough due to cold. Had asthmatic yell at me for giving her a bronchial dilator for her hacking cough. I told RN patient wanted something for her cough not her asthma. They still call for it. No knowledge of respiratory drugs makes them look very very bad.

High nurse to patient ratios and lack of ancillary staff

Applied online and got a email within a few days

Answered

Insure you had the proper ancillary staff to perform your duties as a nurse; I don't need to be doing environmental services and laundry services jobs as well as secretarial, etc., while told you are going to take care of four critically ill patients. Then your monitor dies and NOBODY knows how to fix it... and you NEED it. Staff it, equip it, organize it.

Answered

Earned PTO only and I did not work there long enough - thank GOD - to generate any.
