Decent job, with shoddy management
Cook (Former Employee) – Charleston, IL – November 15, 2017
Overall, working at Lakewood Village is what you'd expect; taking care of the elderly in whatever way you're paid to, be it cooking, cleaning, or just being a bright face in their day. That being said, the poor management, which shows constant favoritism and shallow empathy, is a major point that I would show to anyone considering applying. Whether it be cutting your hours to pass it on to her favorite cook, or overlooking a floor staff member still writing in hours they got covered as if they worked, the director cares only for herself, a select few, and leaving work halfway through the day because setting up tours and staring at Facebook is 'too stressful'.
Decent staff, outside of the elite.
