Worked for Landstar for over 20 years takes a while to figure things out but once you do the sky’s the limit. Only issue is they are huge and your just a #!!

You need to make your own connections with the agents that have the loads you want to haul. You can do very well with Military loads using open equipment. Many special loads to haul.

Good Place to start as a O/O. Just need to watch the Agents closely. Sometimes miles were off which made rates look even better/attractive. Find the good agents and keep them lock in your phone.

65% of gross is to much for the company to take for doing nothing but providing freight. The rates on most loads are good. The best part is you can dispatch yourself from the loadboard and also work with agents that can do the work of keeping you moving...
