Terrible communication, downsizing, Sink or swim !
Once upon a time there was a glorious leader in the framing industry called Larson Juhl. All the competitors in the framing industry wanted to be like Larson Juhl. The Norcross office was like a beautiful castle, with fountains, artwork and happy, smiling employees. This once fairy tale company to work for, has become an outdated nightmare. The only smiles are fake smiles, behind all the unhappy faces. The communication is beyond lacking. There have been so many people that have been laid off / quit. It is hard to keep up with who is still there, or who does what anymore. Each day you have to mentally prepare yourself for more changes, usually bad news. You never know when you will be part of the downsizing. When you work here, you have to make a decision whether you are willing to sink or just swim away.
The management in the Customer Service center is a joke! They have someone training new hires, that needs to be trained themselves. One that walks around chatting/gossiping with her friends, but pretends she knows what she is doing. Thankfully there is 1 lead that is picking up the slack, and has the knowledge to help. It does not matter how much you know anyway, as all the new hires are paid more then others who have been there longer. They are younger, and they have a degree. That is apparently a more valuable asset to the department / company now, then years of knowledge. Out with the old, in with the new. It is insulting to say the least.
Discounts on framing, nice break room
Job security, management, lack of communication
