About us
Established in 1911, the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants (LCPA) is a growing, dynamic, non-profit association serving a diverse membership of CPAs in private industry, public practice, government and education. With an eye on the future and roots in preserving the CPA designation, LCPA is committed to helping its more than 6,200+ members – more... meet the challenges and seize the opportunities within the CPA profession.

The mission of the Society is to serve the common needs of its members and to enhance the professional environment in which they work. LCPA is dedicated to serving its members by supplying the necessary support to improve their competency and professionalism, advocating their causes in the government arena and promoting their services among the public.

The Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants is based in Kenner, Louisiana. From its administrative headquarters in Kenner, the LCPA's purpose is to:

unify the accountancy profession in Louisiana as constituted by the Certified Public Accountants of the state;

to promote and maintain high professional and moral standards within the accountancy profession;

to assist in the maintenance of high standards for the Certified Public Accountant certificate in the state;

to develop and maintain standards for the examination of candidates for admission to the Society;

to advance accounting research;
