Restaurant Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCMay 13, 2019
the management does not have a great culture. Some individuals receive promotions and perks and some just don't. It does not allow all employees to develop their full potential because they are not valued.

COOK (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCApril 20, 2019
I enjoyed being a cook at Le Pain Quotidien but I didn't get enough hours to support my living arrangement. The work environment was very busy but the staff in the kitchen worked together to get things done the most stress less why.

Le Pain Quotidien is an organic communal fast paced sit down style restaurant where ones meal is made to order. Friendly, courteous staff and management. Enjoy!

Server/Customer Service (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCFebruary 9, 2019
Its a great company, however they have a poor management.
basically the longer you are you get the shifts you want. at the location i worked, the senior servers get away with everything and get the shifts they want.

great concept but no support at all
Manager (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCNovember 13, 2018
The management changed and many people left the company. The company does not have any idea how they can support the people who made the brand a star. Instead they make everyone work hard with no `thank you` or even cooperate support. A lot of favoritism going on. If you are a favorite of DM or anyone from upper management you are lucky. You will be paid good and have many people who will help you. If you are not you will be underpaid and overworked, Managers are under lot of stress. They work more than 50 hours per week with no overtime pay or any other raise. Not a professional place to work.

Great place to cut your teeth in restauranting or business management. Corporate can be very aloof; don't expect to go from management to office work. Fast-paced, clear and fluid systems, good HR support.

Stressful and uncertain are the best words to describe working for LPQ
Assistant General Manager (Former Employee) –  Washington, DCApril 17, 2018
LPQ has so much potential, with great food and lots of healthy options it seems that their demand would be through the roof. However, the restaurant as a whole is trying to do so much that does nothing. It has full dine in service, retail, grab and go, and a bakery. This leads to a lot of work for the managers and often times the store barely makes enough money to pay for labor. In addition this company pays employees very little for all the job they are required to do.
They have great products and offer a different concept but I would just stay as a customer and not as an employee.

great food

low pay
