I did not apply. They found me and invited me for an interview. Then after the interview they didn’t make any contact at all for 4 weeks. Should have been the first of many red flags.

The interview was very laid back. Standard questions. Afterwards I was asked to do a demo lesson. There were no administrators present for my demo lesson and I ended up doing it for some random teachers. After that I heard nothing for over a month. After all that time I was asked to come in for a third time and to bring my resume (even though they already had it). When I arrived I was told the administrator was running behind. I then waited for over 3 hours for that administrator. When she arrived she offered me a position for a grade level I never applied for and I went home to think about it. A few days later I received a phone call from the chief academic officer with an offer to teach a different grade level than the one I was offered on the day I waited for 3 hours. Honestly, the entire process was kind of a mess, but I was so eager to work for what I was sure was a great school that I chalked it up to human error.

Terrible. Fear based. Take care of your own. Watch your back.
