You are pretty much stuck at your desk all day. They are sticklers for time in which you have to account for every moment logging in time for each project and every thing in between. You can't take off during any major holidays, and vacation scheduling is painful, it's a race for time off. Depending on your department, They compare you to other workers. So if you aren't at the level they want be prepared to feel inadequate. I wouldn't recommend anyone working here long term. It takes a toll on you. A piece of your soul will no longer be present.

Local journalism has suffered many blows. It's not all roses. That said, I have enjoyed my work with the company and experienced excellent managers and coworkers. I feel supported and like I have been allowed to continue to grow with the company.

The Coworkers were awsome and frankly made working there pleasant. The managers were nice but honestly were not very competent; especially when paying attention to write ups and communicating attendance issues. I loved working there but lost my job because of miscommunications about the pandemic policies for attendance. It was not a fair situation. Really did hurt me; I had planned to retire from the company.

The news paper subscriptions were insanely high, for no reason. I felt so bad for the elderly who used the little income that they had, so they could have a normal day. Newspaper and their morning coffee.

Management is the issue with the company, they just don’t care. I had worked there almost 4 years before getting a raise and then it was .50 cents!!!!
