Service (Current Employee) – Commerce, TX – August 3, 2018
Cool people and lots of new projects to do. Senior management is really good to work with, except sometimes the CEO can be difficult but he doesn't get involved very often. Company recently opened a nice, new corporate office.
Casual, lots to do, good people, company is doing well
Manager (Current Employee) – Commerce, TX – July 26, 2018
Lots going on as the company is growing and new opportunities exist. Management has stopped micromanaging as much and it's leading to better performance and growth. Lot of good people work here and lots of new hires are also really helping.
Chance to grow, laid-back culture
CEO micromanages sometimes and need better benefits
Owner Kenny Shipley is real ahole. Cares only about himself and ripping people off. Drivers carreers are jeopodised to the max. Promisses the moon.

Even the transportation manager comes and goes. He is out for his own game. Does not care about his drivers but only himself. Overpaid for what he does and has no commitment as a person to his employees. Would definitely discourage you from joining them. I witness them putting molded insulation in FEMA houses. If FEMA finds out they will probably destroy all the homes built for FEMA. The equipment is not roadworthy or DOT Compliant. Working conditions are horrible and expectations of employees or extremely high. Do not even waste your time applying unless you are totally desperate and cannot go anywhere else.
Insurance was fair
Long hours, Bad management, Horrible comunication unless to their benefit. Very high employee turnover, DOT faulty equiptment. BBB unaccredited. Worst people in the industry. Lies, lies and more lies.
Driver (Former Employee) – Eatonton, GA – December 7, 2017
Training is non existent. You are pretty much learning as you go. They count on a FEMA contract to keep the DOT off their back. I believe when the contract ends the company will close the georgia location. I noted DOT violations with the tractors I inspected. The repair shop was in total disarray. If you value your CDL keep looking elsewhere driver. If you like to take chances and lots of jerry springer style drama by all means take this job.
Sounds ok, the reality is you wont last long here. No driver had been there for even sixty days. Very telling.
As a security guard for legacy housing in commerce texas, its a very nice place to work at, paycheck are very good. Managment and staff are very friendly. I only work 3 days a week here at this loacation gettinng about 40 hours a week, i dont know if thats other locations as well but over all if ur looking for a very nice stable and calm job, legacy housing is your best choice for a career or just a very good job to pay the bills.
Driver (Former Employee) – Fort worth, tx – September 11, 2015
As a driver for this company, no one is there longer than 6 months from either quitting or being let go for ridiculous reasons. Even the transportation manager has only been there 3-4 months. The HR lady is extremely disrespectful to every employee. I was fired for bumping the security fence and broke the wheel on the fence because of an illegally parked car. But another employee hits a guard rail for 60ft and still works there. Another employI truly believe it's over something else that had to do with workman's comp. They can't keep employees because their trucks are ragged out, the pay isn't worth all the problems, they can't keep escorts when traveling out of state because they don't pay them, if you are given a ticket by dot for something the company was at fault for (like proper documents) you have to pay the fine, and the list goes on. You've been warned.
