Full-time RN's typically work (3) 12 hour shifts a week, but once every 4 weeks you must pick up an additional 12 hour shift to make up for the 4 hours that you are "missing" during the 36 hour weeks. It sounds reasonable until you actually have to work the extra shift; it takes a lot out of you. Night shift is tough, especially if you have young children.

Hours are never the same. Some days we work 10 hour days and others we work 4. Sometimes we run late with providers and are expected to stay. If the patients are late we are still expected to see them. Even if they are an hour late. There are days where we dont get out until 7pm on a late night. But we arent compensated OT. They just let us leave early another day or come in late.

Working for LVPG you never have a set schedule. If you get stuck with a slow provider you're pretty much staying till whenever the last patient leaves. Which isn't fair because sometimes providers purposely take their time !! You complain about it to management and they don't care because they get to go home while your stuck till 630-7pm when closing was at 5!
